What belongs on Joliely
Joliely publishes fashion aesthetics guides for men and women. Each article should explain how an outfit works: the anchor pieces, the proportions, when to wear it, and what to skip. Image galleries without styling logic do not belong here.
The test is simple. If you stripped the photos, would the page still tell you how to build the look from a real closet? If the answer is no, the draft is not done. We write for people who already saved the aesthetic on Pinterest and still cannot get dressed in it on a Thursday.
One definitive guide per topic is the default, not five thin variations of the same search. When two URLs chase the same intent, we keep the stronger page and send the weaker one away. Different audiences can share an aesthetic name (a women’s Dark Academia closet is not a men’s one) and still deserve separate articles.
Who writes the guides
Nadia Ortiz writes women’s fashion. Cole Ashford writes men’s fashion. Authors stay inside their own wardrobe and perspective. We do not invent credentials, and we do not write in a voice that is not ours.
Nadia’s years as a women’s fashion buyer in New York are why the women’s guides talk about what actually leaves a rack. Cole’s decade of building a men’s wardrobe is why the men’s pieces start from fit and proportion instead of a moodboard caption. Neither of them is the legal operator of the site. Joliely is run by Lighthouse Retail Media. Day to day, Nadia and Cole are responsible for what you read.
Bylines stay attached to the people who wrote the piece. We do not swap a men’s guide into Nadia’s name to chase a keyword, and we do not hide who decided the outfit logic. Longer bios live on About Joliely.
Images, pins, and our own photos
Many guides include Pinterest embeds next to the text. Those images stay on Pinterest. We do not copy them onto our server and pretend they are studio originals. The sentences under each pin are ours: why the proportion holds, what to swap, when the look falls apart off-camera.
Featured images and author portraits are files we host. Alt text names what is in the frame. It does not stuff the focus keyword. Captions explain the combination. They do not praise the photo.
Titles, updates, mistakes
No clickbait titles, no manufactured enthusiasm, no keyword stuffing in alt text. The search phrase the article is built around stays in the title. We do not rewrite that phrase to chase a trendier synonym.
When a guide needs a factual fix, we change the page. We do not quietly invent a new article so the old URL can rot. Corrections can come from us or from you. Write to contact@joliely.com or use the contact page with the URL and the error.
What we will not publish
- Outfit roundups whose only job is to rank a keyword and dump a pile of photos with empty captions.
- Advice that pretends Nadia or Cole owns a piece they did not, or that invents a store receipt to sound specific.
- Paid copy that contradicts a guide we already published.
- Medical, legal, or financial claims dressed up as fashion content.
If you are unsure whether a pitch belongs here, read a current women’s guide and a current men’s guide first. If your idea cannot sit next to those pages without looking thinner, it does not belong on Joliely.
